Sacramento County Senior Photographer, Carina, Senior Pictures, Preston Castle

The Preston Castle in Ione, California was once known has the Preston School of Industry established as a reform school for juvenile offenders. It sits just outside of Sacramento, Ca. East of Galt, Ca. The castle has a rich history and is now said to be haunted. Every year the Preston Castle Foundation holds a Photo day for photographers and models to roam the Castle. We are no strangers to the Preston Castle grounds. Having done two other shoots there before we knew the Preston Castle was the perfect location for our creepy doll themed shoot.

When Carina was 3 years old, we had a my twin doll created specifically for her. We sent in a picture of what Carina looked like and they created….well her twin in doll form! It was so fun and cute then, BUT now and 20 years later we still have that doll in our possession. We love to leave it to scare people. One year I even had her holding my nephews golden egg at Easter so he had to near her! LOL

Of course we knew we had to do a shoot with LIL C, “the doll” and The Preston Castle was the PERFECT location! Getting ready for the shoot we not only had to plan what Carina was going to wear, but what the doll would wear too. White dresses and red bows gave the creepy Annabelle look. Perfect for Carina’s odd obsession with scary movies.

The shoot was so much fun and created so much buzz at the castle that day! We received so many compliments and had other photographers take pictures of Carina and her doll too! Carina and LIL C were even asked to come back and do the Preston Castle Halloween haunt! Which sadly Carina was unavailable for.
